need to know what to get to refinish a clawfoot tub?

Typically the enamel or porcelain on these old tubs has worn off or become chipped or cracked, you can have them sandblasted and re-enamaled by a pro or you can try it yourself. There are a few epoxy coatings that you can find at your home improvement center, regular paint won't cut it. Another option would be for a tub insert, kinda like a chair cover, these typically fit right inside your existing tub and would be a special order item in your home improvement center unless you can find a dealer in your area.

Good Luck and Happy Bathing!

How to refinish a bathtub

Congoleum Duraceramic or Ceramic Tile?

We have a bathroom that is 9X13 with exposed brick and clawfoot tub. It gets cold in there - we just ripped out the carpet and tore up the linoleum. We wanted to refinish the pine subfloor and tile around the tub toilet and sink, however, people keep suggesting congoleum duraceramic and tell us whatever we decide to do the whole room. (can't do it under tub etc b/c it's pieced together plywood due to plumbing) Cong. feels warmer and yet, I can't find alot of information on its durability from people who have it. Contractors keep telling me they hate installing it but say it is really good. (it's like a mantra - I feel like a talking point memo went out.) I have no clue about radiant flooring - am assuming it's $$ and we have a limited budget....Anyone!? Thanks!

Its good stuff. pick your style and color here. You can even upload a picture of your room and try different flooring, wall paint, and cabinet color
